Holistic Nutritional Counseling.

Clinical nutrition is the study of the relationship between food and a healthy body. Nutritional deficiency and chronic degenerative changes have become common in today’s world. Due to increased stress, a diet that no longer resembles what our genetic coding was designed to utilize, and toxic exposure that exceeds normal abilities; nutritional therapy has developed as a way to support our bodies in today’s environment.

Nutrition Response Testing (NRT)

NRT will be utilized when needed to analyze the body's areas of weakness and pinpoint the nutrients necessary to support the compromised organ, joint, gland, muscle, etc.

It is extremely hard today to determine what your body needs nutritionally. With decreasing top soil, an increase in processed foods and toxicity on the rise, it is more important than ever to take supplements to fill nutritional voids.

If obtaining the highest level of health and vitality is your goal; then clinical nutrition is right for you. Everyone can benefit from nutritional supplementation!

How Do I Get Started?

Complete and Return a System Survey Form (SSF)

The SSF collects your responses to an array of questions determining your perceptions of your symptoms and health concerns. The symptoms are grouped to determine foundation or root causes of what is happening in your whole body rather than focusing on individual systems. Ask the front desk staff for a SSF or click here for PDF version to print from this computer

Schedule Your Nutrition Appointment

Once you have completed and turned in your SSF, schedule an appointment with our on-site clinical nutritionist, Leisha Elchert at the front desk or by calling 937-596-6000. Initial nutrition appointments will last 45-60 minutes. Follow-up appointments will last 20-30 minutes.

Your Appointment

Unlike seeing a Dietitian, who solely develops a meal plan, a multi-faceted approach is used to evaluate your current health. During your appointment, the completed SSF report, current health habits/goals, food intake, and exercise history will be reviewed. Clinical testing will then be conducted. When called for, NRT (Nutritional Response Testing) may be utilized. The results from all of these factors will then be used to address your personalized protocol at the end of your appointment.

Begin Protocol

Begin taking supplements and following other recommendations. Follow-up appointments will be scheduled according to the case and progress. Though all protocols are individualized, patients can expect to have monthly follow-ups for an average of 6 months to a year. Once a maintenance protocol is achieved; it is recommended that patients follow-up every 6 months (or as directed by their chiropractor) to ensure proper digestion and nutrient benefit.
