Meet the team at Jackson Center.

A small town in Shelby County that values community and family. We are located on South Main Street close to the school and downtown. We are so excited to not only welcome you to our town, but to the main office of Huffer Chiropractic.

Meet Dr. Kreg.

In 1962 my father, Dr. Dale Huffer, had a tree come down on him, fracturing two vertebrae at the base of his neck. After a year of medical care with no help/relief and being told his symptoms were all in his head and that he needed to see a psychiatrist, he went to a Chiropractor, and after one adjustment he had 80% relief! He walked out of that DC office with tears of inspiration and told my mother he would give anything to be able to help people that way. Four years later, when I was in first grade, we moved to Davenport, Iowa, where he attended Palmer College of Chiropractic. Growing up, it was common to see patients, children and adults alike, with fevers, asthma, sciatica, athletic injuries, headaches, digestive issues, and multiple other conditions being carried in and walking out symptom-free time and time again. Witnessing these miracles inspired me to want to do the same.

I attended Defiance College to play basketball and take undergraduate studies before moving on to graduate school for my Doctorate at Palmer College of Chiropractic. I’ve been in practice in Jackson Center since 1983 and was blessed to practice for 13 years with my father. In 2000, after 17 years of practice, I returned to Palmer College to study for my second Doctorate in Healthcare Philosophy. This, in turn, led to three published papers in that field and a commitment to teach/lecture as a Faculty Extension Professor in the Philosophy Department at Palmer College and most recently at Life University. I’ve always been passionate about helping people by addressing the true cause of their health issues; by educating each person about the importance of :

1. Balanced Nervous System.

2. Lifestyle changes to support/enhance nervous system balance.

3. Nutrition-Huffer Chiropractic has a full-time nutritionist, Leisha Elchert. She, along with the doctors, leads our team in teaching our clients about “Autophagy” and eating a diet that makes our body less inflamed at the cellular level.

4. Stress-addressing the emotional component via bringing the spiritual component into the healthcare approach. We utilize (B.E.S.T) -Bio –Energetics-Synchronization-Technique and

5. Brain-based-Neuro feedback/Biofeedback to change abnormal brain patterns and abnormal Neuroplasticity.

My own personal health has always been a high priority, and we at Huffer Chiropractic try our best to lead by example with weekly adjustments and healthy lifestyle choices to emanate optimal performance/health. Most of my practice is clients/families enjoying Optimal Performance and higher quality lives via the Chiropractic lifestyle.

Family has always been a priority for my wife Lori and me. We are blessed to have four healthy children as well as six grandchildren! Chelsea lives next door to the office with an assisted living aid. Brooke is married to Josh, and they just bought a house in Jackson Center. She is a nutritionist at two chiropractic offices. They have a little girl, Charlotte Grace a.k.a. Charli, and a boy, Jagger Joshua. Makaine, is married to Chas. They live in Lima. She is an intervention specialist and teaches at Wapakoneta. They have three children Finnley, Vivian & Zayden. Dillon married Taylor after returning from 3 years as a practicing DC in New Zealand. He presently lives in Marysville and owns/operates Huffer Chiropractic/C4OP’s satellite office in Dublin, Ohio. Dillon and Taylor have a son Foxton Drake Huffer.

I’m a huge sports fan, and I am blessed to work with multiple elite athletes, assisting them to achieve optimal performance. We continue to keep our fitness a priority, as well, with weekly adjustments, clean organic eating, regular exercise, and daily spiritual enrichment!

Much like my father, in 1962, who took an apparent tragedy and turned it into a blessing by choosing to respond, via a chiropractic adjustment, to change the direction of his life. We have been blessed to lead over 100 individuals to become DCs today and millions of people are enjoying better health/lives because of my parent's decision to become something bigger.

Our team at Huffer Chiropractic continues to carry on this legacy, empowering people to respond to their health challenges by addressing the cause; Emotional, Chemical, and Physical, to create better lives for themselves and their families.

Meet Dr. Jason.

I was first introduced to chiropractic as a young athlete when I experienced numbness in my leg after pitching in a baseball game. My mom took me to the family chiropractor, and after one adjustment, there was a significant reduction in my symptoms, and I never missed a beat. I saw firsthand the impact chiropractic had not only on my symptoms but also on my overall performance. This was truly an inspirational moment for me. After having more positive experiences with chiropractic and seeing the benefits of lifestyle care, I decided to become a chiropractor myself.

I graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in February 1997. I spent the first five years practicing in Englewood, Ohio, before finding my true calling here at Huffer Chiropractic. My wife Shannon and I have been happily married for over 25 years and are blessed with four healthy, active children: Kylie, Lucas, Cooper, and Alexa. All my kids were adjusted from day one and have been a part of the chiropractic lifestyle ever since.

Having been in practice for over 25 years and becoming a Certified Chiropractic Wellness Practitioner (C.C.W.P.) has allowed me to serve my patients to the best of my ability. My personal belief is that we are blessed with an amazing body that is self-regulating and self-healing. Our bodies perform optimally when everyday interference is removed through chiropractic care. By teaching the aspects of Chiropractic lifestyle care, keeping a balanced nervous system, and being proactive in our health, I not only see the impact it has on my family and their health but on my countless patients as well.

Our main goal at Huffer Chiropractic is continuously seeking the truth and getting to the underlying cause of disease and imbalances. Through continued research and post-graduate education, we are constantly evolving brain-based and neuro-emotional techniques such as Stemnomics, TRT, and PEMF to be at the top of our game and better serve you, the patient, in any capacity needed. Experience today how chiropractic care can change your life. Thank you for browsing our website, and we look forward to serving you.

Meet Dr. Travis.

One of the things that I love most in life is taking care of kids and creating healthy, phenomenal families. I knew after a few years in practice that taking care of little kids and babies is what I loved to do more than anything else. That's why I became certified by the Academy Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics, so I could help these little ones as best as I can. Having three phenomenal kiddos of my own that I am very proud of, I get to see firsthand how living the chiropractic lifestyle positively impacts the health of my own family. I want everyone to experience this type of lifestyle, and that is what drives me to do what I love every day.

My mother had a life-changing experience with chiropractic when she and my dad were trying to start a family shortly after they were married. After years of having no luck becoming pregnant, her chiropractor Dr. Dale Huffer, got her under care to return her nervous system to the way it was designed to function. Long story short, I am the result of that! You could say I was born to be a chiropractor. I knew at a very young age this is what I was going to do when I grew up. Growing up next door to Dr. Kreg Huffer helped, as I not only learned from him but saw firsthand the miracles that chiropractic can do for people. Now I am blessed to be here in my hometown, working with the practice that started it all.

Outside the office, my beautiful wife Michelle and I are busy with our 3 kids Kashton, Everly, and Quinlyn. One of the greatest blessings in my life is raising 3 amazing kids and witnessing firsthand not only the happy/good-feeling moments that go along with parenthood but also the struggles that make the adventure. Being a parent can be difficult and knowing the "correct" thing to do is not always an easy decision. Having a good foundation on where health comes from with my chiropractic education has ultimately made me the father I am today. Vice versa having kids has made me the doctor I am today. One of my passions is taking care of families that want to live a vitalistic lifestyle and leading by example.

One thing that all of us here at Huffer Chiropractic strive towards is searching for the truth and getting to the underlying cause of dis-ease. Chiropractic removes interference that is preventing the body from expressing itself to its fullest. The inability to adapt to the Traumas, Toxins, and Thoughts we accumulate in our life leads to interferences in our nervous system (Subluxation). Neuro-Emotional work has been intriguing to me because how we deal with emotional stress seems to be the underlying cause of so many people's health issues. That has led me to B.E.S.T. and QNRT techniques that help find and deal with these types of issues. Everyone could benefit from having this disturbance removed no matter where they are in life, young, old, athletic, healthy, or sick. Getting checked for this interference and removing it consistently will help you experience a phenomenal life. Call and set up a consult and become a part of our family here at Huffer Chiropractic.

Meet Dr. Tyler.

Chiropractic care has been an integral part of my family's health and wellness journey for as long as I have known. First, starting with my great-uncle Dr. Dale Huffer seeking a chiropractor as a last resort that would lead him down a pathway to eventually graduate from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1970 who then inspired my cousin’s Dr. Kreg and Dr. Dillon Huffer in his footstep’s years later. My family's passion for chiropractic care and their dedication to helping others inspired me to pursue a career in the field. They provided guidance and support throughout my education and training, sharing their knowledge and expertise and encouraging me to pursue my dreams. Having many different sports injuries, illness, etc it was always commonplace for my family and I to navigate our way down to Huffer Chiropractic to get balanced back up to be able to better adapt to the stressors of life and development.
From an early age, Dr. Kreg, Jason, and Travis shared with me the miracles of what chiropractic care had to offer not only in terms of function, but how it enabled everyone to be able to express their true healing potential.

Originally from a neighboring small, rural town in Huntsville, OH. I first started my journey through attending Wright State University in Dayton, OH before ultimately ending up in Life University in Marietta, GA finishing up not only my bachelor’s degree in Biology, but also attaining my Doctor of Chiropractic degree in March 2023. I am excited to bring my skills and passion for chiropractic care to the community so near to where I resided and committed to building lasting relationships with patients helping them achieve optimal health and wellness for many years to come.

At Huffer Chiropractic, we prioritize finding the truth and uncovering the root cause of dis-ease. Chiropractic care can eliminate interference in the body and help it reach its full potential. Now more anytime in the past do we see the need for chiropractic care with increases in work demands, environmental stressors in the air we breathe, food we consume, and water which we drink to keep our nervous system free and clear to adapt and overcome. Most importantly we want to continue to commit to our mission of educating, motivating, and inspiring full human potential to better equip you to make the right decision for you and your family.

Meet nutritionist, Leisha.

I think all my life I have always been drawn towards helping others. I considered many career options throughout high school and college, and was thrilled to discover a preventative health Master’s program at Ball State University where I had just completed my Bachelor of Science in 1991. Ball State was only one of three universities nationwide at the time that were offering this type of cutting-edge training program. A Master’s in Wellness Management spoke to me as it provided an intense 2 year curriculum that focused on business, nutrition, and all 6 aspects of personal wellness: Spiritual, Intellectual, Emotional, Physical, Financial, and Social. It was everything I hoped it would be and more! By June of 1993, I had obtained my MS learning the principles that ground and guide us and the understanding of how to help others achieve a balanced life.

My career path first led me to the University of Findlay to help create their undergraduate Wellness Program. I then worked as a Health Promotion Specialist at Honda where I was able to provide preventative health programming for associates and their families. After being there for over five years, my husband Scott and I realized I needed a change in order to “walk my talk.” At that point we had just had our third child and I knew I needed to take a break from my career path and stay at home to help raise our growing family. It was the best decision we ever made. Over the next six years, God blessed us with two more children so our family was now complete with 3 boys and 2 girls: Trey, Haley, Kamryn, Christopher and Grant.

I was approached by Dr. Huffer in 2011 to bring further nutrition education into his practice. Huffer Chiropractic lives and breathes education and Dr. Huffer wanted to ensure that as he and his doctors were providing the best chiropractic care; while also providing the opportunity for patients to be evaluated for their nutritional status. God had blessed me again. How could this Village of 1500 provide the ideal work environment embodying all of the principles that I had studied, embraced and lived to my best ability?

I have received 700 + hours of additional training through attending nutritional seminars/workshops; some of which include hormone optimization, thyroid health, functional blood chemistry, gut health, anxiety, depression, sleep challenges, digestive issues, food sensitivities, allergies, immune challenges and more. I received my Nutritional Response Testing certification in 2015. In addition for the past 3 years I have participated in weekly practitioner group discussions with established health professionals from all over the United States. The best part of my job is watching lives change as people heal and get better. Every day we see transformations occur at the office and every day I thank God for being able to witness those changes and assist in that healing in whatever way that I can.

Scott and I have now been married for 30 years and are enjoying watching the paths our children choose. We have three that have graduated from college, one still in college and our youngest son is still in high school. Our family has continued to evolve as Trey married Macey in 2020 and we know our family will only continue to grow! In my spare time, I enjoy attending family activities and sporting events, hiking, cooking, visiting with friends and family, and spending time with our grandson, Louie.

I adopted a quote when I was in college and have embraced it throughout my career: “Wherever You Are, BE THERE.” It is a simple reminder to be present in the moment. With that being said, I promise that when you come to see me for a nutrition appointment or schedule for a phone/virtual consultation, that all of my energy and focus will be on YOU. I will listen and understand the journey that has led you to this point and upon completion of your evaluation will give you recommendations that fit YOU. We only have this one body and this one life. It is my job to make sure that I help you reach your optimal potential!
